Boxing Day Orienteering – Archallagan Forest
Mass START at 10:30am
‘Free Order’ Orienteering event, Friday 26th December 2025.
Family friendly orienteering activity suitable for all ages, individuals, pairs and groups.
- Find as many controls as you can in 1 hour!
- Your choice to Walk, Jog or Run.
- Registration time: 9:30am – 10:20am.
Participants must return to the finish within 1 hour (11:30am) to allow results to be compiled, to avoid a time penalty!
Wear suitable clothing and footwear for weather conditions & time of year. Children must be under the supervision of an adult. Compass is optional, to assist with navigation.

Orienteering Maps supplied – Cost: Adult: £4.00. Youth under 18yrs: £1.50. Family (2 Adults & Children under 18yrs): £8.00 (max)
Categories – SOLO: male / female / youth. GROUP: adult / family / youth.
Where to meet: Beside the new southern car parking area just off the Eairy Kelly road, southern edge of Archallagan Forest, (registration signposted).
Mission
You have 1 hour to locate as many of the orange & white control flags marked on your map and to pin-punch your scorecard to prove that you have visited each location. You can navigate to control flags in whatever order you choose, but remember you are penalised if you return late!
